incorrigible policies of Vice Chancellor (VC) Dr. Javed Ashraf. Protestors held the placards and marched peacefully through the administration block and demanded the resignation of the VC. The faculty of QAU is deeply resented over the nepotistic and

botched policies of Dr. Ashraf. The faculty is also disgruntled over the deteriorating law and order situation in the campus and feels the apparent environment of the campus is hostile and not conducive to work with peace of mind. Notwithstanding, the number one university in Pakistan, QAU is facing multifaceted issues which span over governance, victimization of faculty, law and order and short-term policies of the current administration of Dr. Ashraf. Faculty also accuses VC unnecessarily barging into the academic affairs of the departments hence curtailing the academic freedom. All this mess is triggering an upheaval in the ranks of faculty which has decided  noncooperation and boycotting academic activities till the fulfillment of the sole demand of VC’s resignation and finds no other solution to prevent the academic loss any further. It is noteworthy to mention that under the incumbent VC the strikes and protests have become a ubiquitous phenomenon. The administration of QAU under Dr. Ashraf has miserably failed to enact any long-term policy or plan of action preventing the disrepute QAU is earning amid all these disruptions.
